The one hour Charlie Tee and Hoodie.

A warm hoodie for a cold Canberra winter.

This must be one of my favourite pattern to sew up for the boys. The difficult part is choosing the fabric.

Here is the  link to this great pattern from Fishsticks Design Patterns.

This pattern is easy to read with clear instruction and easy to follow.
Only nine pieces to cut and super easy.
Contrasting inner for the hoodie if you like.

One happy monkey!!

Turn your baby and toddler clothes into lasting memories.

Baby memory blanket.

My next project is very, very close to my hart.  I'm a mother who just can't bare the thought of parting with my boy's baby and toddler clothes.  There is just so many  thoughts that cross my mind when I think of selling or donating them. The outfit they came home form the hospital, that special outfit nanna bought, the funny ones "Mum's brains and Dad's look's", first birthday and the list goes on.....

Being the Pinterest addict I'm, I came a cross this great idea of preserving all the clothes and memories that I just can't seem to part with, in making a Memory blanket.  The idea is to make a blanket combining all your little ones clothes and making a blanket easy, you pick out all your special outfits and sew them together right? I don't think it will be that simple or easy but I'm willing to give it a try just not to part with my precious memories.

I'll start with all the boys summer and winter clothes up to now 18 months and I will leave the newborn and baby outfits for my second project when I have a stronger hart.

First step is to wash(funny how dirty clothes tends to end up back in the cupboard) iron and sort outfits that is worthy of being transformed(without poo and food stains) and colour coding them. I'll need a minimum of 30-40 outfits to make a single bed size blanket

Second step is to decide on the size of my blocks that will be sewn together to make the blanket and what type on filling to use Bamboo, cotton or wool.

I'll keep you updated with my progress step by step.   Hopefully this project would heal my very fragile hart and give me strength in the future to part with my little ones precious things.

Please tell me what the you with your little ones clothes?  Is it all packed up in boxes under the house/storage or have you done something special with. Or am I the only Mum that can't say goodbye to all the good and bad memories.....leave you comments below.
